This is my wife's trust PDF Print E-mail

Once a group of Muslims were on their travels propagating Islam in Edinburgh. The Imam who was leading the prayer [in a public place] after completing it, was met by a few girls. One of the girls asked, "Do you know English?" The young man [who was leading the prayer] said, "I do". She said, "What is this that you have done?" The young man replied, "We have performed worship". The girl said, "But today isn’t Sunday". The young man said, "We do this five times a day". The young lady expressed, "That’s a lot".

The young man explained that if the blessings of Allah are kept in view, this is very little. And this is that action which brings about the spring of tranquility. This isn’t hardship, this is felicity. Then the girl extended her hand to bid farewell and the young man said, "Forgive me for my hand cannot touch you". She asked why? He said, "This is my wife’s trust". The girl collapsed to the ground, With tears in her eyes, she said, "How blessed is that wife who has such a husband, O that the men in Europe would be like this!"

Allah knows what every female bears, and that which the wombs fall short (of completion) and that which they exceed. And every thing with Him is measured.

It is recorded that if a person recites Surah Bani-Isra’il on Thursday night, he will meet the 12th Imam (a.t.f.) and will be among his companions. The one who recites Surah al-Kahf will die a martyr and will be raised with the martyrs on the Day of Judgement.

Whoever recites Surah Saad on Thursday night will be blessed with good in this world and good in the hereafter to such an extent that nobody except the prophets and those who are very close to Allah (S.w.T.) will get a similar reward.

If Surah ad-Dukhan is recited on this night, all his sins will be forgiven. He will get the reward equivalent to that of freeing a thousand slaves for each letter he recites and seventy thousand angels will pray for his sins to be forgiven. The one who recites Surah al-Waqi’ah will be counted from the friends of Allah (S.w.T.). The other Surahs that have been recommended on Thursday nights are Surah an-Naml, al-Qasas and Hamim Sajdah.

On the day of Friday, the Surahs that are highly recommended are Surah al-Ikhlaas, an-Naas, al-Falaq, at-Tawba, al-Kahf, as-Saffaat, ar-Rahman, an-Nisaa, Hud and al-Qadr. All these carry great reward and should be recited if possible. Imam Ali (a.s.) has said that whoever recites Surah an-Nisaa on Fridays will be protected from the torments of the grave. The one who recites Surah Hud will be counted with the prophets and messengers and his sins will be forgiven.

The benefit of reciting Surah al-Kahf is that all sins of the past week are forgiven. Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) said that if a person recites Surah as-Saffaat on this day, he will be protected from all calamities and misfortunes. The one who recites Surah ar-Rahman will have a shining face on the Day of Judgement.

It is also recommended to recite [at-Tawba:128-129] and [al-Hashr: 21-24] on Friday mornings.

Ibnu Katsir)

It is recommended to recite Surat al-Kahf completely the night before Friday, and it is also recommended to do so Friday itself, before Maghrib time. Ibn Abidin said, And it is best to do so early on Friday, in order to rush to the good and to avoid forgetting. [Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar, Bab al-Jumu`ah]

The evidence for it being recommended includes the hadith related by Hakim and Bayhaqi, from Abu Sa`id (Allah be pleased with him), Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday, light shall shine forth for him between the two Fridays. [Ibn Hajar, Talkhis al-Habir]

Rasulullah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: "There is such an hour on Friday that if any Muslim makes dua in it, his dua will definitely be accepted. " (Bukhari, Muslim) The ulama have differed in specifying that hour which has been mentioned in the Hadith . Shaykh Abdul Haq Muhaddith Dehlawi rahmatullahialayh has mentioned 40 different opinions in his book Sharh Sifrus Sa'aadah . However, from among all these opinions he has given preference to two opinions: (1) That time is from the commencement of the khutbah till the end of the salaat, (2) That time is towards the end of the day . A big group of ulama have given preference to this second opinion and there are many Ahadith which support this opinion . Shaykh Dehlawi rahmatullahialayh says that this narration is correct that Hadrat Fatimah radiallahuanha used to order her maid on Fridays to inform her when the day is about to end so that she could occupy herself in making zikr and duas. (Ash'atulLama'aat)

Rasulullah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: "Friday is the "mother" of all days and the most virtuous in the sight of Allah Ta'ala. In the sight of Allah Ta'ala it has more greatness than Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Ad'haa. " (Ibn Majah)

Rasulullah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: "The Muslim who passes away on the night or during the day of Friday, Allah Ta'ala saves him from the punishment of the grave . " (Tirmidhi)

Giving the Salam

Abu Hurairah (ra) related that Rasulullah (saw) said, "You shall not enter Heaven unless you have Faith and your Faith is not complete until you show love towards one another. Would you want me to show you how you can achieve this? Shower your Salam upon one another."

General meaning -- When we give our salam to another Muslim and he answers it, we are actually praying for each other's peace in life. Thus our relationship will become closer. This is one of the signs of people who have Faith.
Jibreel (alaihis salam) came in human form and said to Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam): “Tell me about true faith (Emaan).” Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) answered: “It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His inspired Books, His messengers, the Last Day, and in destiny, its good and evil.” Jibreel (alaihis salam) said: “You have spoken the truth.” [Sahih Muslim]

Belief in Allah's Books is to believe that the Books of Allah are His Non-created Speech, and that they are sanctified above being comprised of letters and sounds and that everything that they contain is real and true. Four books in particular are: 1) The Tawrah given to Musa (alaihis salam) 2) The Zabur given to Dawud (alaihis salam) 3) The Injeel given to Eesa (alaihis salam) 4) and the Qur'an given to Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam).

Belief in Allah's messengers means to believe that Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) sent them to His creation for guidance, in order that they would teach them how to perfect their lives in this world and the Hereafter. He aided them with miraculous occurrences that proved their truthfulness. They delivered the message Allah revealed to them. It is obligatory to show respect and courtesy to all of them, and to not distinguish between them (i.e. by saying, "We believe in this one, but we reject this other one.") They are all under Allah's Divine protection from sins great and small.

The number of messengers Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) sent to humankind is 124,000, and from among them we are required to know 25: 1) Adam 2) Idrees 3) Nuh 4) Hud 5) Salih 6) Ibraheem 7) Lut 8) Isma'il 9) Ishaq 10) Ya'qub 11) Yusuf 12) Shu'aib 13) Harun 14) Musa 15) Dawud 16) Sulaiman 17) Ayyub 18) Dhul Kifl 19) Yunus 20) Ilyas 21) al-Yasa 22) Zakariyyah 23) Yahya 24) Eesa 25) Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam).

The Muslim should also know that our Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) was a Qurayshi Arab, the seal of the prophets and messengers, that he was born in Makkah, that he migrated to al-Madinah, that he died and was buried there, and that the system of law he brought (the Shari'ah) abrogated all systems of law that preceded it, and that it is valid to the Last Day.

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “A man bought a piece of land from another man, and the buyer found a jar filled with gold in the land. The buyer said to the seller: ‘Take your gold, as I bought only the land from you and not the gold.’ The owner of the land said: ‘I sold you the land with everything in it.’ So both of them took their case before a third man who asked: ‘Have you any children?’ One of them said: ‘I have a boy.’ The other said, ‘I have a girl.’ The man said: ‘Marry the girl to the boy and spend the money on them; and whatever remains give it in charity.’” [Sahih Bukhari]

This is a story of some people from the past who showed exemplary honesty, piety and the desire to abstain from doubtful property. It is only the conviction of accountability before Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) that can allow a person to refuse a jar of gold when he/she could easily keep it. Judge your level of piety/awareness of Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) by what you would have done in such a situation.

O Allah I ask you for strength in worshiping you, comprehension of your book, and understanding of your commands. O Allah bless Muhammad and his family. Do not render the Quran with us barren (unfruitful) or the path transitory nor Muhammad, blessings of Allah be on him and his family, to turn away from us.

AL MUALIM (THE TEACHER)

We once had a Teacher
The Teacher of teachers,
He changed the world for the better
And made us better creatures,
Oh Allah we’ve shamed ourselves
We’ve strayed from Al-Mu'allim,
Surely we’ve wronged ourselves
What will we say in front him?
Oh Mu'allim...

Chorus
He was Muhammad

salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam,
Muhammad, mercy upon Mankind,
He was Muhammad

salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam,
Muhammad, mercy upon Mankind,
Teacher of all Mankind.

Abal Qasim ,Ya Habibi ya Muhammad
Ya Shafi'i ya Muhammad
Khayru khalqillahi Muhammad

Ya Mustafa ya Imamal Mursalina
Ya Mustafa ya Shafi'al 'Alamina

(3x)

He prayed while others slept
While others ate he’d fast,
While they would laugh he wept
Until he breathed his last,
His only wish was for us to be
Among the ones who prosper,
Ya Mu'allim peace be upon you,
Truly you are our Teacher,
Oh Mu'allim..

(repeat chorus 1)

Ya Habibi ya Muhammad
Ya Shafi'i ya Muhammad
Ya Rasuli ya Muhammad
Ya Bashiri ya Muhammad
Ya Nadhiri ya Muhammad
'Ishqu Qalbi ya Muhammad
Nuru 'Ayni ya Muhammad

He taught us to be just and kind
And to feed the poor and hungry,
Help the wayfarer and the orphan child
And to not be cruel and miserly,
His speech was soft and gentle,
Like a mother stroking her child,
His mercy and compassion,
Were most radiant when he smiled

(repeat chorus)

Mualim…

No one in this world is rich enough to buy his Past.
So, Enjoy each moment before it gets beyond reach.
Good Morning
Hadis riwayat Abu Daud dan al-Tirmizi daripada Abu Hurairah ra, Nabi SAW bersabda :
Sesungguhnya amalan pertama seseorang hamba dihisab pada hari kiamat ialah solatnya.

There are certain table manners that are indispensable. Say 'Bismillah' when starting, to thank Allah and say 'Alhamdulilah' when finished. Eat what is in front of you. Eat using your right hand. A hypocrite was eating with his left hand when the Prophet saw him and advised him to eat with his right. The man falsely said 'But I cannot' The Prophet said 'May it be so' and the hypocrite was not able to lift his right hand again.

The companions of the Prophet followed his example in stressing the use of the right hand while eating. Omar was Khalifa when he saw a man eating with his left hand and similarly advised him to eat with his right. The man answered 'My right is busy' Omar repeated his request and the man repeated his answer. Omar asked him 'What is it busy with?' The man answered that it had been severed in one of the battles. Omar blamed himself for neglecting such handicap and ordered the treasurer to provide the man with a servant to help him.

If eating with your hand, use three fingers with small bites, lifting it gently with ease to your mouth. Close your mouth while eating to avoid unnecessary noises. To eat on the floor is nearer to what the Prophet used to do. However, there is no problem to eat at a table. Imam Ghazali said, 'To eat at a table is to make eating easier and there is nothing against that.' Do not start eating ahead of the elders or the nobles. If you are the elder, do not commence eating before everyone is at the table.

It is preferred that eating should not be conducted in silence. It is good manners to talk during meals. Topics should be nice stories suitable for eating. At the end of the meal, if hands are to be washed, the elder or the noble should be asked to proceed first.

At the end of a meal, thank Allah as in the Hadith reported by Abo Dawood and Nasa'i in 'the deeds of day and night.' Thank Allah who fed us and provided us with drink. It is very appropriate to make a prayer for your hosts as it is reported by Muslim that Al-Migdad ibn Al-Aswad reported that the Prophet said, 'May Allah feed those who have fed us, and provide drinks to those who provided us with it.'

Do not express your disapproval or dislike of certain foods. Either eat it or pass it over quietly. Abu Huraira reported that 'the Prophet never expressed his dislike of a food. If he liked it he will eat it. If he disliked it, he will set aside.'

Do not put in your plate more than can eat. Leftovers could be thrown out, it shouldn't, and wasted. Put smaller portions twice rather than one large portion that you will not eat. The Prophet did not approve of leaving any food in a plate since as he said 'You don't know which portion is blessed'. Food is a blessing of Allah, to misuse it is contrary to Islam. Do not forget the poor and the needy who do not have the portion you are throwing away.

MELAYU

Melayu itu orang yang bijaksana
nakalnya bersulam jenaka
budi bahasanya tidak terkira
kurang ajarnya tetap santun
jika menipu pun masih bersopan
bila mengampu bijak beralas tangan.
Melayu itu berani jika bersalah
kecut takut kerana benar
janji simpan di perut
selalu pecah di mulut.
Biar mati adat
jangan mati anak.
...
Dalam sejarahnya
Melayu itu pengembara lautan
melorongkan jalur sejarah zaman
begitu luas daerah sempadan
sayangnya kini segala kehilangan.
Melayu itu kaya falsafahnya
kias kata bidal pusaka
akar budi bersulamkan daya
gedung akal laut bicara.
Malangnya Melayu itu kuat bersorak
terlalu ghairah pesta temasya
sedangkan kampung telah tergadai
sawah sejalur tinggal sejengkal
tanah sebidang mudah terjual...
